Meowscellaney: Dishwasher Detergent

So I've got this great BIG post about how busy it is being a gardener this time of year all planned out in my head right now, but I'm too busy to put it together and get it to you.  Is that irony?

But I did get a second-hand dishwasher last week and it's most of the way installed, enough to use it!  And I found a recipe on Mother Earth News of making Dishwasher Detergent straight away.  No messing around with store bought stuff, here!  Not even for a second.  They gave the recipe by 'cups' but since this is such a bulk item, I'm preferring to think of it as 'parts' for ease.  Here it is!

You need:
A container that closes
A scoop
Borax
Washing Soda (found near the borax)
Baking Soda

In container, put:

2 parts baking soda
1 part washing soda
1 part borax

Close container securely, then shake violently (lol) to mix and break clumps.
Wait for dust in container to settle, then open and add the scoop.

That's it!  It does a grand job of washing dishes.  If you want a grand way to wash clothes, check out my Laundry Soap post.

This post is so short, I'll give you a closer photo of Lytkin HUGGING Randal as filler.
